Walden Pond

Walden Pond

On Friday the 30th our group drove out to Walden Pond and we had a chance to walk around the pond, go for a quick dip in the water, and see the site of Thoreau’s house. I was ecstatic! Partly because I was an English major, but also because my blog title is based on this quote. It was almost surreal to be there.
The rest of the day we spent picking fruit and learning how to make raspberry jam and can peaches and tomatoes. Something I think Thoreau would have approved of.

The thing I love about the picture – is your face Libby, without any words it says, “I can’t believe I am actually here!”
